Formed in 1993, the Squirrel Nut Zippers eclectic fusion of Delta blues, gypsy jazz, 1930s–era swing, and klezmer makes them hard to categorize, but their unique sound garnered national recognition and commercial success. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their most popular recording Hot, the North Carolina ensemble’s visionary creator Jimbo Mathus has crafted a brand new stage show, enlisting several leading musicians from New Orleans to help serve up its distinctive musical flavor.

Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance gets tricked out as flapper jazz; Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass becomes all about an upright bass fiddle; Sam Smith’s Stay With Me is rendered a ‘40s big-band standard.
