Did you know that In 2023, the Humboldt Journal of Social Relations celebrated its 50th anniversary with the publication of the special issue "Becoming a Polytechnic." The issue featured articles on the interdisciplinary collaborative applied research of Cal Poly Humboldt faculty and community partners. "Teaching in the Wake of Trump" (2022) and other recent issues are linked to the website, with all issues archived in JSTOR. For Sociology graduate students, as well as students from other programs, the journal provides significant experiences with scholarly publishing. Those professional experiences have been instrumental in graduate admissions to doctoral programs and related career pathways.
